hey im back again guys wit a,.,.probably one of the best eves in ma life,.,.it all started in jan,..a frnd of mine happens to start a entertainment cum charity show,.,.AROEGGIO,., n was searchin for ppl to take part in the show,.,me as usual enthu abt thins happenin arnd me calld him up and told tat i was interested in doin the comperin part n bla bla bla,.,.,so as a pro guy he asked me to send in my resume to the mail id,.,,.i did,., was told that would be selected,.,.me very happy,.,:-),.,.then started the practise session,.,.had to find a partner..,some gal workin in accenture was abt to join us but she dint turn up,.,.,then again had to find another partner n the prctise session went without a partner for me while the tamil guys were rockin along wit me,.,again a new gal-krithika ,comes from a col to join us,.,.alas i found a partner,.,.then it all began,., one or two week of practise,.,.,then we had a meetin the isphani center,numgambakkam,.,.here comes the twist.,.we come alive from a day dream that we had a grt back up team behind tis show,.,.we find ourselves to be the organizers of the show,.,.,addin to the fury is that we realize that the sponsor who promised a huge sum has ditched our friend,.,oh my god!!!we felt that it woud leave us nowhere if do not act ,.,the meet was around 28th of jan i guess(prob i don remember the date),.,.we discussed the scheme of things on spot,.,.started to act from the moment,.,.,came back home,.,found ma mom thrashin me,.,as to y i joined the organizin.,.but there is no lookin back,.,.i had committed myself,.,.,.
doin all these stuff,., i had to do all the paper work right from the brochure to all the formal letters,.,.,though some of them already drafted but the standard was not upto the mark.,.so i took a holiday to col,.,.drafted some,.,.n again felt it borin,.,.called up ma frnd krishna(tamil comperin,n a very good frnd of mine),.,we both put up a all nighter to jus finish it,,,,guys im tellin ya i ve not even finished my col assignments like this,,.,.then we had another meetin to distribte our work n divide teams,.,.,as discussed we set out from the next day.,,.
then all the action started,.,.from the next day went in search of SPONSORS.,.,.hehe,.,me was jus then a sponsorship co-ordinator,.,.went door to door to many places,.,.nothing turned up,.,.one eve my frnd calls me to kathipara junction at 6.30(n he comes at 15 past 7),.,i called up krithika n asked her to also come,.,.6.30 im waitin nobody turns up,.,7waitin.,.nobody alas at 7.20 ma friend turns up,.,.then i get a call from krithika that she was also waitin at the same place but was not able to locate me,.,.then she left,.,.again i ask her to come,.,.she turns up at 8.15,.,given the traffic,.,.it was all over that eve,.,.7.00 was the appointment,.,.so we call up the mediator n fix it the next day,.,by then i became the marketing manager for species(the team which hosted Arpeggio).,..,.haha ha me boastin off,.,.but i ll tell u.,.,it really sucks,.,.
meanwhile
me n misbah,.,(tamil comperin - n a good frnd of mine),., went for media partnership with ss music as wel(sent mail to mr.james-manager ss music, but there was no response) went to meet him in person.,.,.the first thing i do is intro myself n did a mistake i din tel ma name.,.,.he asked for my name.,.,then we explained everthin bout the show,.,.next waat.,.,.the first question he shoots at us,.,.wat does arpeggio mean?thank god i had already asked for the meanin,.,.then he was impressed by the way we both responded to his questions,.,.guess wat... he gave is mob no. n asked us to contact him later,.,.
then again comin back to the sponsor.,.,.creammy inn-anna nagar the next eve we decided terms in advance and me,krithika n krishna,., go to the sponsor....n the usual the busy man not available,.,.we had to wait.,.for more than an hour...we decided to jus check out the place.,.,so went walkin,.,.had a juice n as usual krithika told no,.,.(for the hygene crapppyyy story).,.,.then again roaming,.,,again felt hungry,.,.we went to a small road side shop,.,a north indian chat shop,.,.hunger kills all non-sense of hygene.,.,.hehe,.,by then krithika also joined the party,.,,we had some nice stuff,.,.,went back to the sponsors,.,.n there sbioa school gals,.,.whove sightifying for some time,.,.then jus as we were talkin krithika told tat the next day was MOP bazaar(gals again:-)),.,.we decided to go there along wit her to sell off some tickets for our show,.,.n jus while away some time,.,.meanwhile the sponsor arrived....we all wnt to him n explain him the scheme of things,.,.,n i felt we could convince n the othrs also felt the same.,.so then we left the palce,.,.,.n the next day plans were all set,.,.,.well after reachin home,.,.i called up ma school frnd chris to accompany me to col as she was studyin there,.,.at first she said s,.,.then no ,.,.then s///gal she was confused,.,.,so i asked her to call my othr schoolmate ranjana,.,.to hlp me out,.,.then she did the same.,.,
well it was time to rock,.,.me n krishna were all set to set the stage on fire,.,.,he he me good at exaguratin thins,,..,.as ususal we left a bit late than planned,.,..on the way took the kottur bridge,.,.,n my goodness,.,.,traffic,.,.luckily i took the left ,.,.then took saidapet to reach anna salai,.,.,.gosh it was almost 12 i guess,...then reached ther.,.parked my bike in the church,.,.gals,.,...everywhere,.,,called up krithika she was still on the way,.,.,u know wat she is the most punctual gal i ve ever seen in ma life,.,.hehhe,.,.jus kiddin,.,.bot the tickets,.,.went inside,.,met ma frnd ranjana,.,.,.,took a look around,.,.n went to her frnz stall,,.39,.,.it was a ice cream stall ,..,so dint do much there,.,.then came krithika,.,.n a strnge coincedence,.,..her frnd was also in stall 39,..ma gooddness the world is so smalll,.,.,then ranjana went as she had some other work,.,.,we started roamin,.,.n again my one more school mate aswini (stella maris)came ther to meet ranjana along wit her junior,.,.we had a nice time chattin there,.,.she left in a while,.,we wnt to paritcipate in games,.,.man it was the best experince,.,.we for a place wher had gamed like arraingin the correct denomination of coins,.,.burstin the ballons wit a tooth pick in the mouth,.,.i took part in both n won in the second one,.,.,then krishna the military man tried to give a shot at holdin a brick,.,.dipped in water,.with only two fingers,.,.man it was tough even for the toughest.,.,he tried twice,.,.bt,,,then i tried my hand at droppin a coin in a bowl of water,.,as luck would have it ,.,i won again,.,.woooo!!!it was my day then,.,.then again we had to leave as misba called up to distribute the tickets at spencers,.,.so we left with lotzz of satisfaction,.,.don think bad,.,i sold some 11 tickts our there,.,we parted thn
befor that one fine eve i went to suriyan fm,.,all alone,.,jus to try my luck if i could find a sponsor,.,.probably a radio,.,went to anna salai firts(sun tv office),.,ther i found out that suriyan fm office had been shifted to dinakaran office at mylapore,.,.turned my bike,.,.reached,.,.i tot of askin for the cost of adds n enter the office,.,.thank god i used my presence of mind,.,.,entered the sophisticated office,.,enquired abt the adds n got a quotation as well,.,then i decided to ask the same person regardin the sponsorship.,.,then he directed me to miss.satya-manager suriyan fm ,then i explained her the scheme of things,.,n she told that it is not possilble to sponsor bucks,.,.but jus gave a hint tat it is possible to air somethin in the rj mentions,.,.,then i tot it was not gonna work out,.,.but still had a hope,.,.after three days again with misba i went thre,.,.n god showered mercy on us guys,.,.she was a very down to earth lady,.,.she told its possible to air it and from 14th feb to 18th feb,.,four days of frreeee airing of our show.,..my happiness knew no bounds,.,.then she asked me for the details,.,i told i ll mail her,.,.then got the logo,., n everthin was done,.,..we left the place with a sense of accomplishment,.,.
Back to the sponsor,.,.i assingned krishna to follow it,.,.he did it,.,.n finally i had to go to him again to explain wat were the scheme of things .,.,but that day i dint find time to go,.,., i along wit misba went to ss music office then,.,met mr.james,.,.he told he was busy with the valentines day work,..so he asked us to come the next day,.,n while leavin he told us he ll give us a positive rep,.,.,
while i returned home had to discuss some things abt givin a add in the hindu,.,.with my cosusin amir,.,workin wit the hindu...as luck would have it,.,i found in a conversation that the propriter of ss music was my fathers cousin,.,.n my aunty was very close to him,.,.that filled in the energy n boosted my confidence,.,.i made a call to my aunt-bautl aunty.... but she was asleep,.,by then it was around ten i guess,..
the next day morning i called her as early as 7am,.,.she told she do somethin for me,.,she even called me to her home,.,.so tat we can go n meet the peolpe in person,.,.at first i tot of goin along wit her them i realized i had loads of work to do n without me it wouldn be completed,.,.,then again called her n told i was not comin,.,.coz i had work,.,then she told she wil call up,.,help me out,.,.i left my home along with krishna,.,to misba's place,..,from there we went to ss music office directly,.,we went inside n were asked to wait,.,.then mr.james saw us n talked with us,.,he changed terms,.,now he told us he dint have time to come n cover the show,.,then i told him my aunt had spoken to the propriter of ss music this morning and he has promised us to give us a positive rep,.,.then he told it was not like this person told n that,.,.bla bla bla n told it was all bout availability.,.,.then again he asked us to wait went inside,.,.we were sittin all tensed ,.,as to wat was gonna happen,.,.prayin,.,.(we pray only when we need things to happen,.,we r selfish),.,.,i was all set to make a call to the propriter who was in kolkata then,.,.probably waitin see wat was mr.james rep,.,.then the moment of truth came,.,mr.james with a cd in his writing wit a permanent marker on the cd,.,.the logo,.,.,.,.of ss music,.,..whove,.,.it was the moment,.,,i wasss jus happy happy happy.,.,.n happpy,.,.,.,.dint know how to express it,.,.then he instructed us some technical things like the audio clarity n mixer n stuff,.,.but we dint know abt that but managed,.,..then he gave us the mob no of mr.gautam who ll cover the event on sunday-the 18th of feb--->ARPEGGIO .....we were all clond nine,.,.,in the elevator we started celebrating,.,.,
from there i had to go to the sponsor,.,n discuss things,.,but then again he was busy,.,.,so did other work,.,.n while returnin home,.,me n krishna at the hotel,.,.,topsee,.,.,.had some nice biryani---->yummy,.,.wel
the next day it was all time to design the posters n distribute the ticktes,.,.it took till the eve.,,me,krishna and yousuf(a very good frnd of mine n a very talented dancer),.,designed the poster n he left for practice n me n krishna for distributin tickets,.,.,
meanwhile in the eve i went to meet anand(loyola)--my schoolmate to try to work out some things for invitin chief guest,.,as he was a frnd of actor jeeva,.,.but then he told he ll ask n tell but nothing worked out from his,.,,tired like a dog that day,.,. i had to go all alone to meet the sponsor in chetpet from there,.,.went n had a meetin,.,.he asked me to come the next day to get 50% of the payment the next day,.,returned home tired any thin,,.,
by then it was 15 th i guess but no add was on air in suriyan fm,.,.the next day wnt to suriyan fm office again,,,.,.met mr.shankar-coordinator dunno his designation correctly,.,.as miss satya was busy,.,.showed him the poster n convey wt to be told then left to porur,...where the practice was goin on n krithka was also waitin for me to do some scriptin work for the show.,.,on the way i receive a call from mr.shankar,.,.as to wat are the advertisments we ve given suriyan fm so that they can decide wheter to air our add in rj mentions or not,.,.i explained the scheme of things to him n he told okie,.,.reached porur,.,all were waitin,.,. i found tat the entire scheme of the prog has changed n we had to script lot of things again,.,.ohhhh it was takin a toll on me ,.,.suddenly a pleasant surprise,.,.our add was on air,.,.,this again boosted me,.,again staarted to work,.,made the prog list,.,n left from tat place as i was damm tired,...went to marina from there sat in a bench along the coast,.,.man this was the most tiring day in my life,.,.ve never sat like this,.,.after misba completed her practice she cme back to home then again we went to her place,.,left from there,.,had briyani again,.,..:-)came back home,.,.
